There are so many little things that happen on a daily basis that we don't really feel are worth sharing, like billboard images, or which commercials are airing, or what's in the window at the department store. Well this is one of those "little things" that keep coming up and you all should know about it on the other side of the world. It's good fun, I promise;

Did you know that Andy is the gorilla? He got this fluke job because he was tall enough to wear the suit! The head is connected to sensors on Andy's face and he was able to influence the face a bit - Weta workshop (Lord of the Rings, etc. located in Wellington) created it for King Kong close-ups.
Also, when I was in 5th grade, my best friend, Barry, and I did a dance routine to this song. It brings back memories! Please enjoy!

Now that I think I have figured this google thing out, I just want to know one thing. Does Andy get residuals when it plays? Seriously though, thought it was hilarious. What is even funnier are the You Tube debates about whether it is a real gorilla or not!
When did Andy find time to do this? Keep up the good work>

No, no residuals. Which is a shame because the commercial has gotten really popular. There has even been a noticeable resurgence in Phil Collins music. The high school kids are all listening to that song. The time wasn't really a problem. We did it on campus in two takes. I guess I'm just a talented gorilla.
Wowza! The commercial has even been Wikified! But it lists a different actor as the gorilla in the suit, so you guys should get in there and change it. :)
I can see from the no. of views and comments on YouTube that it's ginormously popular in the U.K. and Aus/N.Z. Very cool.

Now THAT'S a cool gorilla...but before I tell all my friends that I know the Cadbury Gorilla - are you SURE that's Andy? I mean...I've seen him in a chicken suit and I know he's talented, but that gorilla seems pretty serious!
